All of the construction projects for 美姬社区 are considered projects as per California labor code. This requires all potential bidders and contractors to be with the state of California through the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
MCCD utilizes the for bid advertising. The Act provides for alternative bidding procedures pursuant to state contract code as follows:
(a) Public projects of $60,000 or less may be performed by negotiated contract or by purchase order (PCC22032(a)).
(b) Public projects of $200,000 or less may be let to contract by informal procedures set forth in the Act (PCC22032(b)).
(c) Public projects of more than $200,000 shall be let to contract by formal bidding procedures (PCC22032(c)).

Labor Compliance
Construction contracts for 美姬社区 projects are subject to California labor laws regarding public works projects. The 美姬社区 Community College District intends that all workers be paid the proper , that there are opportunities for , required are made, and is completed for applicable projects.
The district monitors all Measure MM projects for compliance with these requirements and as part of its responsibilities as an . Noncompliance with the law regarding payment of prevailing wages can result in action by the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement. Workers have a right to file a if they believe there has been a violation, including failure to pay prevailing wage and use apprentices.
California law requires all public works contractors to as such with the DIR before submitting any bids on public works projects.
