Payment Plan Set Up
You have plans for your education. We have plans to help you pay for it. Pay tuition in smaller, more manageable monthly installments. Only a $25 non-refundable installment fee, with NO INTEREST!
Current Term Payment Plans
Current term payment plans are available. Open enrollment begins on the first day of registration. Beginning May, payment plans are available concurrently for summer and fall tuition. Spring payment plans will open in November. .
- Steps to signing up for a current term payment plan through SURF:
- At the SURF main page, select the "Financial Account" tile.
- On the left side select "Make a Payment".
- At the bottom of the page select "Make a Payment".
- You will arrive at CashNet's main site in a new tab.
- On the left side select "Payment Plans".
- Click "View Payment Plan Options" to view your payment breakdown.
- Auto-pay can be set up, so you never have to worry about a late payment again. If your payment plan becomes delinquent, there is a $10 late fee added to the next payment due.
- Final payments are due before the end of the term, you may view your monthly billing dates at the time of enrollment.
- Payments are due on the 15th of every month.
- Don't delay enrollment-payment plans are term-based and have deadlines. For spring, enrolling by November 15 gives you monthly payments through May 15; enrolling by February 15 only gives you 4 monthly payments.
Spring 2026 Enrollment Dates
- The first day to enroll in the Spring 2026 payment plan is November 3, 2025.
- The last enrollment date will be on February 14, 2026, with a last payment date due May 15, 2026.
Payment Plan Adjustments
- Students who are on a payment plan are required to reach out to the Cashiers Office to purchase a parking permit if the current payment plan does not cover this cost.
- Payment plans will recalculate your payment amount if you add or drop a class, before the add/drop deadline, or when a payment is applied.

Past Due Payment Plans
If you have a past due balance from a previous term and are unable to pay in full, you may be eligible to enroll in a Past Due Payment Plan through Transact. Please contact cashier@miracosta.edu to request a 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plan.
- Past due payment plans must be requested through the Student Accounts/Cashier鈥檚 Office.
- A non-refundable $25 enrollment fee applies per plan.
- Payment plans are based on individual terms.
- If you owe balances from multiple terms, you must enroll in separate plans for each term.
- If you do not complete the payment plan, a hold will be reinstated on your account and it may be referred to collections.
Current Term Enrollment Not Included
- These plans do not cover new or current term charges.
- To stay on track, please be sure to also enroll in a Current Term Payment Plan if you are registered for the current or upcoming term.
