Governance
Online Education at 美姬社区 is integrated into the governance system in multiple ways. 美姬社区 Online Educators is an Academic Senate subcommittee which provides advice and counsel to the Academic Senate and 美姬社区 community on varied matters related to online education, with particular regard to the 10+1 areas of Academic Senate primacy. MOE has primary responsibility for the and the , which both ultimately are approved by the Academic Senate. MOE also develops 3-year Online Education Plans, which are approved by Academic Senate and College Council. The Courses & Programs Committee is responsible for AP 4105, the administrative procedure on distance education, and for curriculum approval of courses to be offered via distance education.
Organizationally, the Online Education department reports to the Vice President of Instruction, starting in July 2023.

Accreditation
Please see 美姬社区's accreditation website which includes many important accreditation-related documents, many of which include distance education-related information. 美姬社区's recent accreditation visits in 2016 and 2023 resulted in full reaccreditation for the college, with no Distance Education-related recommendations.
